“The Soarer is difficult to drive. My specialties are long braking drifts and engine stalls; I can play guitar a little too.” / SPEC / Engine: Trust Pro-fec EVCK & N power cleaner; OS twin-plate clutch and flywheel; Nagai Special front pipe and dual-exit straight-through muffler. / Suspension: Garage Fukui original C-link coilovers (F18 kg, R7.2 kg); Image Supersport; front and rear brake pads; side-shoe IBRIG. / Exterior and interior: Personal Sprint 3000 steering wheel, two Recaro SR-II seats, boost meter and exhaust-temperature gauge…
…that is part of their appeal. The deputy leader, Komuro, is especially like that. He’s simple-minded (or, to put it kindly, straightforward), so perhaps he doesn’t overthink his driving. The other members also use inertia drifts and clutch kicks to send the cars flying; they aim for enormous distance, which makes them exciting to watch. And they are not to be underestimated: they win events like the TOYS Cup. If they learn to think just a little more while driving, they could compete nationwide. Their courage is extraordinary. As my close friends, I really want them to keep at it. Winter makes you see people’s stories everywhere; let’s keep drifting and make 1997 exciting! P.S. Sorry for getting sentimental this time. I’ll introduce lots of teams this year too. BGM: Sheryl Crow, “Sweet Rosalyn”…
