This time we visited a spot somewhere in Kanto. Many readers had asked us to cover it, so the crew set out looking forward to the trip. When we arrived, we were surprised: nobody was there. We had arrived too early. After waiting an hour, night grew late, and then an exhaust note rumbled from somewhere… Before long, more than a dozen cars were running around the main L-shaped course…
Since this is the bay area, we asked people doing “gira-gira” if there were other places to drive. They said there was another spot behind us, so we went there. It was an S-shaped high-speed corner, with raised reflectors down the center of the road. We were amazed to see everyone drifting hard. There are three spots in one area, and all look fun. The open area by the main L-shaped course is especially good for beginners. It is wide enough for drifting practice and ideal for people who are still afraid to drive the course or lack technique. You can get seat time and improve. Like the other spots, it had a nice atmosphere, with drivers and spectators enjoying it together.

…though…
Besides the L-shaped course, there was a huge open area where 56 cars were drifting. Looking around, we saw lots of “gira-gira” around the course. It was winter…
