A high-quality gullwing system that surpasses off-the-shelf kits! This crimson-bodied FD wears RE Amemiya aero and SPL suspension settings, and belongs to the Bad Transfix team. It has evolved even further. Dazzle’s latest creation is a much-talked-about gullwing (butterfly-door) mechanism that eliminates the weight and instability usually encountered when opening and closing the doors. The secret is a newly adopted two-action damper system. The doors can now be raised and lowered smoothly, even hands-free, overturning the old image of gullwings. It is also a standout item that fits a wide range of cars. This Seven has reached show-car level, but owner Tatsuki keeps driving it hard—because performance on the road still matters most!

Part 01: Classic Sport Compact
Gullwing doors and swaps
01
Trend
…if you want the ultimate classic sport compact…
Gullwing doors and swaps have practically become essential!
D-Car
Gullwing doors alone no longer make you stand out.
Sport… / swap…
Pairing them with a swap is…
The FD3S has an exceptionally beautiful shape for a sports car. Seen from the rear in the rain, it looks fairly understated apart from the RE Amemiya aero kit and large wheels.
Along with gullwing doors prized for their smooth operation…
This Dazzle FD is fully built, from the engine and audio to everything else.
Engine
RE Amemiya is known for its signature aero parts. The original hood with ducts…
…is fitted with…
AVS Model 5 wheels emphasize the FR layout with staggered sizes: 18 inches in front and 19 inches in the rear.
The show-ready engine features chrome and polished finishes throughout. Extra-thick piping continues to a BLITZ intercooler, greatly boosting turbo power. It also has an HKS air cleaner and a large MazdaSpeed radiator.
Audio
Peeking through the gaps in the MOMO Commando wheel is a boost meter showing the turbo’s pressure.
…back and forth!
JL Audio
Beside the A-pillar is an FC Commander with a subcomputer that centrally manages the car’s digital information.
The body and dramatically raised doors create a sight you would never normally see. Its presence is simply beautiful.
The rear seat is treated strictly as emergency seating; two enormous JL Audio subwoofers and power amplifiers are installed, completely filling the space. The enclosures and related pieces are custom-made from fiberglass.
Even without a wide-body kit, Dazzle’s custom gullwing mechanism opens and closes with remarkable smoothness and precision.
Cockpit
The cockpit is coordinated as a complete design. The red-and-silver door panels include a voltmeter…
…is installed.
Owner
The tight interior feels like the cockpit of a Gundam. The MOMO steering wheel and SPARCO bucket seats are coordinated in red and silver, creating a unified color scheme with a futuristic feel.
The owner, Tatsuki, came out to meet us during torrential rain from a direct typhoon hit. Thank you for your help! With thanks to: Yataya-kan Tsukuba Yatabe, TEL 029-838-2750
