100% pure JDM—with an Impreza as the base, you can't go wrong. As we've noted repeatedly, WRXs have been growing rapidly in number lately. Sedans are the most popular, but this is a wagon—and there is no reason it should fall behind. The suspension uses Subaru's own parts, including Sustec PRO components and front and rear braces. For power, it combines an HKS GT turbo with a Tanabe Super Medalion exhaust. C-West provides the finishing aero. The specification is all JDM. How cool is a build made entirely from Japanese parts!

Perhaps because of cost, there seems to be less insistence on genuine JDM parts. Imitation 'style' parts are certainly out there, but JDM design should still be something people aspire to...

Because it's a wagon, give it a racier stance. This custom Volk CE28 setup shows why the brand's popularity keeps growing.

The grille and headlight covers are also by C-West, matching the aero kit. Using one brand throughout creates a unified look—though a tasteful mix can work, too!

Even as a wagon, it is a WRX. A supportive bucket seat is essential for body rigidity and driver support. If you plan to push it hard, you need one!

The engine bay houses an HKS GT turbo. Only the intake uses AEM; every other part is JDM.

JDM

28.

Does choosing cheap parts dilute the purity of JDM? VeilSide, C-West, and Bomex are among the most popular JDM aero brands. Many owners choose them for their brand appeal, though there are also people who simply want a lower price. That may help explain why...

Japanese brands are hugely popular, but imitation products keep appearing

39.

Perhaps that explains why aero is not always exclusively JDM, unlike performance parts. JDM aero with US performance parts may be a style that could find acceptance even in Japan: keep the look cool, and the parts underneath hot!
