When the paint is partly dry, peel off the masking tape. Do this before it dries completely.

10.

Let it dry for about 30 minutes. Once completely dry, carefully reinstall it on the engine without scratching it or getting oil on it.

6.

Disconnect the hose on the engine and replace it. If the old hose is stiff and hard to remove, grip it with pliers and twist it to loosen it.

Wrap it with heat-resistant wrap and secure it with wire. Fold the wire ends inward.

8.

The engine bay is finished with a red-painted cam cover, filler cap, strut bar, vacuum hoses, and heat-resistant wrap. Too bad these pages are not in color! Other effective additions include mesh radiator hoses and an air cleaner.

19.

A strut bar is essential not only for improving body rigidity but also as a dress-up item.

Heat-resistant wrap protects rubber parts from hot areas such as the exhaust system. It also adds a racing look.

The filler cap is where you add oil. This gold-colored one is made by Mazdaspeed.

Vacuum hoses are available in red, blue, yellow, and other colors. Choose lengths to suit your car…
