- Full Counter Club:I'll keep driving my naturally aspirated Laurel [OCR damaged]
- For years to come!
- Congratulations to the editors on issue50! I enjoy reading every month. With little money,I reread issues imagining modifications:which aero, muffler or Bride seat to choose. My car is still stock, but I'll customize it gradually.I want it to look nearly stock, with one-off FRPfront/rear bumpers, hood and trunk. At first glance,a33Laurel with only different wheels… [OCR damaged]
- To the unnamed September contributor:I too tried mounting tires by hand after reading Drift Tengoku. The first tire took nearly an hour to remove, but the second took about30minutes.Arthritis in my dominant hand made it difficult.I was thrilled when finished and sent teammates a photo! I used2tire levers and CRC lubricant, liberally on rim and bead to make removal easier. The practice15-inch wheel's rim got scratched, but… [OCR damaged;historical reader account]
- I mastered hand tire mounting!
- That's my aim.A conspicuous drift-car build might attract parts thieves. Why naturally aspirated? I love the crisp response and sound. It is slow, but I don't care.Speed alone doesn't make an enthusiast;if you love cars, that is enough.Cars are wonderful! My C33is a magic carpet taking me anywhere.I want to keep driving it.Chiba, elusive reader without a home course. [OCR damaged]
- If afraid of failure, practice on steel,kei-car or damaged wheels first.Even professionals failed at the beginning.Hiroshima,Nomu-san fan.Editor:thanks for the report! It's great when readers improve through the magazine. You won't always mount tires by hand;a tire changer is quicker/easier.But knowing you can handle an emergency gives confidence.Doing and merely knowing are very different.Teach friends too! - Imagining a build is fun:listing parts, costs and the finished car.Didn't you do that in high school? Your approach is good.We once covered a naturally aspirated RBwith FCRcarburetors/tubular manifold. The sound was great, and throttle/engine response wonderfully direct.Drift Tengoku thinks cars aren't only speed/power,and drifting isn't only a technique contest.Go at your own pace and with your own taste! - I enjoy reading! Next month,
- We learned the baby due…will be a boy! I'm thrilled.Once things settle after birth,I'll take him to a circuit. [OCR damaged]
- I'm bad at drifting,so I'd love my son to enter D1.I'll keep tuning my S15instead of selling it.If he enters D1in it one day,I'd be satisfied! If he becomes famous, put him in the promising-newcomer feature.Sorry,he isn't even born yet. Please keep making an enjoyable… [OCR damaged]

- Hello!
- Leaving my part-time job,I started the engine and went to press the clutch.Suddenly a bang from front-left and glass fragments flew! Looking closer, the airbag had deployed unexpectedly.I hadn't hit anything.I took it to the dealer next day,but with extensive modifications,an aftermarket steering wheel and6-year age, there was no warranty. They investigated and said probably the changed wheel/boss.I called the boss manufacturer, who said they'd never heard of that and that the sensor needs a strong… [OCR damaged;adjacent headline mixed in]

- I drive a JZX110too! [OCR damaged]
- I drive a JZX110too.Even with automatic transmission it drifts well, and electronic throttle isn't a problem.Parts are improvised:JZX100front coilovers;20Soarer rear differential with extra shims.Even this setup is fun.I'm glad I bought it.Iwate,white110.Editor:was September's JZX110discussion helpful? Reporting it made me want a110;it's so appealing. The scene was like an Auto Salon—you could invite spectators! [OCR damaged]
- Magazine.I'm looking forward to it.My child will read Drift Tengoku instead of picture books! Bravo S15,Asakita,Hiroshima.Editor:congratulations! Born by now? We may not exist in18years,but drifting probably will.Don't wait for a license;teach from around10? Hiring a circuit/gymkhana course might be cheaper than karting…would that work? - Airbag
- Deployed [split heading]
- Impact to deploy, they said.I paid myself, but will never accept the explanation.Osaka,Tourer V.Editor:what caused that? Sorry we can't offer a useful comment. The editor suggests preventing airbag deployment when seriously driving, saying a slight collision triggering it could be dangerous. The case is puzzling;fortunately nobody seems to have been in the passenger seat.
