Tandem battles welcome! The super-hot MSC Challenge Super Class MSC Challenge has classes matched to drivers' skill levels. The Super Class, its top category, is especially exciting right now. Twelve drivers entered round 5 at Nikko Circuit, and seven entered round 6 at Honjo Circuit. This year's Super Class is all about a clash between established and rising forces: veteran drivers who have led the drift scene are facing challengers promoted from Expert Class, who are aiming for an upset! Stands out with a modified MAK aero kit! Shiro Deura, an expert drifter from Nagano who has competed in D1GP, D1SL, and Drift Muscle, entered the MSC Challenge for the first time in Garage Mak's car. This 180SX stands out even sitting in the paddock. Its exterior is simple, making good use of the solid white paint, and wears Garage Mak's original ‘Evolution Type 2’ kit. It first went on sale four or five years ago, but the shop says it has added newer techniques in the details; it still does not look dated at all. It looks like a 2013-model-year 180SX. ‘The 180SX has always been popular. I wanted to create the kind of racing-car style that people of every generation would recognize immediately,’ says Miyagawa of Garage Mak. Just as they hoped, many people saw the car, and it won the dress-up contest at the Honjo round.

Although the result was disappointing this time, driver Deura and Miyagawa have both declared, ‘We will get revenge before the year is out.’ It is almost certain this car will appear in the Super Class soon—perhaps at round 9 at Mobara Twin on November 3.
