Even when the bonnet pops up, it protects the windshield!

Caution!
Chiba University Graduate School
When I swapped the bonnet, its edge stabbed the windshield and cracked it. I replaced the glass myself, but I don’t want to break it again! So I stuck on corner-protector rubber from a home center, to keep the windshield safe even if the bonnet pops up.

They used the thinnest rubber corner guards—the kind for furniture and posts—and attached them with duct tape. From a distance it even looks like the bonnet has been modified, so it works visually as well as practically…
With aftermarket side skirts…
The balance is spot-on, too!

That’s effective.
A Hyakushiki Auto lip for a DC2 Integra is screwed onto the stock bumper. It’s a little short and needs a bit of trimming, but the width fits perfectly!
He bought the GT wing itself for ¥7,000 and made the endplates from 5 mm acrylic. The sheets cost less than ¥700 each, and he used two.
And the fit is perfect, too!

…and the fit works well. He likes it so much that he deliberately left it unpainted to show off the ‘I’ve got a lip’ look…

Looks like a production part…
…doesn’t it?
…that’s the plan.
FRP diffuser wasn’t ready in time!

The projected finished look is something like this!?

Once I knew I’d be entering the student drift event, I decided to build a fiberglass rear diffuser as a special mod. But the engine blew right before the event and I ran out of time, so all I have is the corrugated-plastic base mold for laying up the fiberglass…
It’s unfinished, but the shape and angles have been carefully made…
Comment
…I’d written on the entry form, ‘I’ll blow away the freshly finished diffuser on the day!’ So it’s a little disappointing!
For the rear end, he made good use of home-center supplies!
There was more than just a homemade wing endplate! Check out the holes left after removing the stock rear spoiler, too.

Pretty pink, isn’t it?

My father has a compressor and spray gun, so I did the full respray myself, using our home and a senior’s garage. For the race-inspired finish, I used a black base; the bonnet matches the body color, and I used Maziora for the contrasting sections.
A shop we often work with, NC Project, gave it a full respray in pink with rainbow flakes. The roof has a spiderweb finish made with a special paint called COBWEB. I really like the scratch-like pattern—it looks like a spiderweb!
Since the bonnet is pink, I thought the roof would be the same…

Paint!
After seeing a car parked at the shop, he asked them to paint it in this style. It was finished just before the student drift event, so among the NATS cars…

…the Maziora catches the light as a subtle accent.
He was especially fired up about it. I thought the pink matched junior Chiba’s car, but it turns out this is the team color of ‘DefCrw.’
