I painted it myself in orange and black! I sprayed it in the classroom, and the teacher got angry, saying it was going to get paint all over the place. I added glitter, too!

The Rising Sun flag evolved with inverted colors and a zipper!
Different colors from last year!
Sorry, teacher!
I can’t stop painting cars!
A glittery two-tone paint job!

…of the paint is a little disappointing, though…
The quality…
Nicely done!

Like last year’s Skyline, the Silvia follows the old-school car theme, so the Rising Sun flag is a must! I reversed the red and black of the flag on my coveralls and made it into a cutout sheet. I also added a combination lock to keep people from messing with it.
…he said he didn’t have time to polish it, so the bonnet’s finish is a little disappointing.

They deliberately photographed it in the same two-shot as last year. The reversed manji is a symbol associated with the Nazi military, so pairing it with the Rising Sun flag makes for an ‘international exchange’!? He even screwed the zipper in place…

That’s so old-fashioned!

It’s a nice detail that it’s held with a zipper.

I couldn’t afford to buy fixed headlights, so I made…
Sorry, Yoshida!
Velcro keeps it from flapping!
…them myself because they were too expensive!
These are genuine optional side steps, but the gap bothers you, doesn’t it? That’s where Velcro comes in! Since I also wanted to remove the aero parts easily, this was the best solution!
You just spread it out and secure it with Velcro; it looks much neater than fastening it with lots of screws. The white…

The idea of writing messages on a seat and sticking it onto the body was a great use of decals.

It’s my prized Super Made complete car, but it originally had pop-up headlights. I wanted to switch to Super Made fixed headlights, but they cost about ¥100,000—over budget. So I made my own from ¥5,000 fog lights from Don Quijote and sheet metal a friend gave me! They’re really dim!
The fender flare width…is easy, too!

I drive an 180SX, but I like the early S14. I’d also managed to get an S15 bumper, so I thought I might as well combine them. The lip is the usual stock Integra part! The front fenders combine S13 and S14 pieces, making it a Silvia-complete look. The winkers are for a kei truck—an expensive ¥1,000 each!

I’ve seen this done with other models, but I wonder if the S14 part is especially versatile? Cars without a fixed reference point may benefit from adapting an S14…
…then an S14 fender was attached over it with screws. The bonnet is also a simple bolt-on S14 part, and the bumper was just cut to fit. It’s impressive how easily these parts were adapted!
Check it out!
Just bolt on S14 mirrors!
