I bought the wastegate online for 19,800 yen. The outlet connection was just an opening about the size of two pipes. A senior told me, “You should separate the bypass gas coming from the gate,” so I welded in a divider plate myself! I used 3-mm steel plate, removing, adjusting, and extending it three times. It makes the gate sound quieter and adds power—great!

I've always driven naturally aspirated cars, so I wanted to prioritize response. I added an S13 turbo to the NA engine to make a high-compression turbo setup! The NA engine has more cam lift and a slightly larger throttle, which are advantages. Boost is 0.5 kg/cm², and with the stock S15 ECU it makes about 220 horsepower. It still feels like an NA, but with more torque throughout the range!

People ask, “Is that a…?” Actually, I've just welded the R35 airflow meter adapter facing downward so you can't see it. It goes unnoticed more often than you'd expect. The body color is a custom dark green that Mr. Gunji painted for me!

Use similar colors for wrap painting!

18.

…that makes the engine bay look much cleaner. It seems to make maintenance a little harder, but prioritizing good looks is fine too!

24.

I used wrap painting on the timing-belt and battery covers. Normally you'd use black as the base, but I like pink, so I used white as the base, applied the wrap effect, then painted over it with pink. Doesn't it look nice, like a wrap effect in similar colors?
