An unconventional member of the Skyline family, equipped with a four-cylinder engine! The R30 was released in 1980 as the sixth-generation Skyline. Initially it carried over the engine from the previous model, but a 1981 facelift added a twin-cam four-cylinder, a first for the Skyline. Those cars were called RS rather than GT. The FJ20E-powered model, DR30, made 150 PS; the turbo FJ20ET made 190 PS. The final model added an intercooler and reached 205 PS, a high specification for its time.
