It produces 320 PS at 1.2 kg/cm² of boost! Yashio Factory's Silvia may bring to mind a fully tuned car painted bright pink. But this sharp-eyed car is approachable not only in appearance but also in its tuning. The engine uses a classic boost-up setup with a Z32 airflow meter, GT-R stock fuel pump, and 550 cc injectors. It has a large radiator, intercooler, and oil cooler for circuit use, while the engine itself remains stock…

7.

The car is quick because the whole package is well balanced. When driven hard on the circuit, the power is strong but very smooth; it may not feel explosively fast, yet torque stays flat from low rpm to 7,000 rpm, and before you know it, speed has built up. The response is good and the car is easy to handle. The suspension is simply a production-spec HKS Hyper Damper setup (F=7/R=5 kg/mm), with no special modifications. Even so, despite using S tires, it can consistently lap Tsukuba Circuit in the low 1:05 range—a remarkable result and proof that the whole car is well balanced. The power and suspension seem to work together in their ideal ranges…

The goal was to find how fast it could be made while staying close to stock—the ultimate boost-up setup. The boost is raised to about 1.4 kg/cm² and tuned to stabilize around 1.2 kg/cm². That produces about 320 PS, which is nothing to dismiss.
