ここでは3.8２の腰下に3.6２ヘッドを組み合わせてハイコンプ仕様の ハイパワーエンジンを作る過程を紹介しよう。製作したのはプロモデッ ト・コミネエンジニアリングだ。今回は主に腰下を中心にみていく。
まずは洗浄これはしつこいくらい何度でも行う。 わずかな異物でも混入したら命取りになりかねない。 終わたらクランクケスをスタンドにセツトする

今回使用した3.6クランク。実は3.8仕様でも3.6仕様でもクランクのストロ一クは共通で76.4mm。ボアが2mm 違っていて、3.6が100であるのに対して、3.8では102。これで排気量が3600ccから3746ccになる。
