Everyone finished safely, without a major accident, and seemed to enjoy the day. As for me… I wasn’t satisfied at all! Everyone else looked like they were having fun drifting. Even Mr. Maeda from Circuit Club gave me a scolding. The car itself ran great, so my excuse is that I hadn’t gotten used to it yet. Is that really an excuse? Let’s say it is. By the way, I replaced the worn-out coilovers with JIC units for this track day. We show that replacement on the following pages.
Captions and page details
R32Skyline
“The leader and I both changed cars for this event. I wasn’t used to the multilink suspension, and the viscous coupling wasn’t working, so I struggled at first. But it was fun to get back to a track day after two years.”
S13Silvia
“I’m going back to beginner status and will do better next time. I’ll drift better than the leader! And sorry for going turtle-mode today (I rode up on the curbing) and causing a red-flag stoppage.”
A31Cefiro
R32スカラン
“Circuit driving really is fun! I’m planning to buy a Silvia, so I want to drift hard in that car next time.”
“You still have a long way to go. Improve your skills before you come back!” Special appearance: Mr. Maeda of Circuit Club.
Thanks for following this feature for so long! We also show the coilover replacement on the next page—check it out!
