Many drift magazines are published, including Battle Magazine, but there are too many turbo cars. Even among Silvias, the coverage is mostly of K’s models, while Q’s cars barely appear. Please send in stories about Q’s models and naturally aspirated cars, not just K’s and turbo builds. I think the basics of turbo tuning start with naturally aspirated cars. Let’s keep working with “Go NA!” as our slogan.
I went there too, and it was great—worth the admission price. Battles that cannot be settled on mountain roads can be decided cleanly at the circuit. I’d like to make my racing debut too. Driving at the limit can mean a crash if you make one mistake; that felt like real motorsport. These days, someone who calls themselves a street racer but only knows mountain roads does not know the limits of a car. Only by learning those limits at a circuit or gymkhana can you attack mountain roads more safely, I think…
Hello. After reading the December issue’s article by the “Club Human Disqualification” president, I went to watch a gymkhana event. It was incredibly exciting. The Evo II on four-wheel slicks drifted so quickly and accelerated so sharply that I was impressed. The battle decided by hundredths of a second hit me hard, since I drive without a clear goal. Recently I’ve also grown tired of mountain passes: show-offs, people who run others off the road, police, and bad manners. Some people use the passes to pick up dates or simply show off their cars. HEART
Valentine’s Day is coming soon, so I’ll get lots of chocolate again this year and end up with cavities. Just kidding! Somebody, please give a guy like me some chocolate!

Naturally aspirated (NA) enthusiasts
There are definitely lots of turbo cars these days, but all you NA drivers, keep at it! Even the new 180SX released last year came with a naturally aspirated 2-liter engine. We’re waiting for letters from everyone driving an NA car and aiming to beat the turbos!
Change your driving at the circuit

Battle Magazine
I wish more Battle Magazine readers who are street racers would go to circuits and gymkhana venues. It will change the way you drive on mountain roads. If even a woman like me can drive there, Battle readers can certainly give it a go!

Anyone who has been there will understand, right? I went to watch a gymkhana event. I’ve never driven at one myself, but apparently—
—it’s amazing when you go and drive. There may be no elevation changes, but the tight turns are exciting: everyone uses the handbrake to drift through them. I’d like to try it once too.
I’ll do my best
In the January issue I saw the letter saying the writer was following Ms. Miyuki Yamamoto of the FC, and it made me happy to realize she has many fans. She is the person who made me seriously want to drift. At my first circuit event, there were so many men…
