Hello. I’m a car enthusiast and an RC hobbyist, a 25-year-old office worker. In the February issue, the RC Chief showed a homemade extreme-camber setup. I’d tried something similar before, but let me show you a much wilder version for a narrow-body car. First, the chassis should be a Tamiya TA02. Prepare the front suspension parts for the TA02W (TA02 lower arms and TA01 knuckles; the red shift parts are OCR’d as 0225). The upper arms should use OP-192 turnbuckles. The key is the drive wheels: use Tamiya touring-car wheels from before the Castrol Primera, with tires mounted at the standard offset. Set the body so it sits just clear of the wheels, then add bumpers. With wheels at offset 2 or more…
…the drive shaft will be under too much strain and may not rotate. Recommended wheels: front 468 M3 mesh; rear 634 Calibra or OP-229 mesh. Since everything uses stock parts, strength is excellent. You can do the same with Tamiya F touring cars, but the wheels will spin wildly. That completes a good-looking extreme-camber setup. However, the front tires wear very quickly… that’s all.

Readers’
Department-head class (I even expect you to use polite language with me.) Section-chief class (You’re at my level—looking pretty good.) Assistant-section-chief class (Your first title. Let’s modify an RC car!) Rookie class (Your future is ahead of you; start by getting plenty of driving practice.)
RC Chief ranking
President class (a title reserved for people who lead the RC world) Director class (almost perfect—you can drift freely, too)
Great assistant-section-chief style!
I really like the grape-colored AE86. Its aggressive drift setup is one of the things I’m proud of. I also built the 240Z with an extra-wide track, like the Z shown in Shikotan Buggy. The color is different, but please forgive me!

Both the AE86 and S30 are nicely done. Looks like you’re aiming for the assistant-section-chief position.
S30Z highlights: wide-track universal shafts.
AE86 highlights: short upper arms; stretched oni-rim tires; street-racer antenna; Act Power TRF chain motor; Tekin Pro Star amp; full Tamiya options, and more.
Spacers
Stretched oni-rim tires; full Tamiya options; Tekin M-Star; Act Power touring setup, and more.
Chief: This is my style of extreme negative camber.

Plastic model team feature
We formed a plastic-model team using the initials FT-R. We’re also recruiting members, so please get in touch. / Kanagawa Prefecture / FT-R’s T. ■It was disappointing that there weren’t many painted cars.
This RC Chief deserves a good position, too. He seems to make clever use of stock parts. How about assistant-section-chief? If you send a photo, I may consider an even higher position next time. I’m looking forward to it!
