RE Amemiya body kit with Wise Factory’s added touch!

2.

‘Honestly, this car was difficult to modify,’ they say. ‘It really looks just like the original—so much so that you’d hardly think Wise had worked on it.’ ‘Hey! (laughs) But Mr. Amemiya had already made it an incredibly beautiful car, so there was no need to change it dramatically. That’s why what we changed…’

D-CAR

5.

With an open body and chopped front windshield, its ultra-low stance seems to skim the ground and looks sporty. The complex curves around the fenders also give it an elegant impression.

8.

Exterior

9.

We only corrected a few things that bothered us in the body lines—such as reshaping the rear-fender curve to match the line from the door. It was like making a few makeup adjustments to bring out the beauty of a model…

6.

That’s how complete this car was.

7.

The modified Scoot bonnet, with air intakes and outlets, was carefully fitted. It channels cool air efficiently while adding a spartan, performance-focused look.

Lightweight, high-rigidity Rays G-Games 77W wheels with slim five-spoke styling are fitted. They further enhance the FD’s performance image.

11.

Different wheel sizes front and rear—the Rays G-Games amplify the sport-luxury look.

17.

Front

15.

This FD actually uses different wheel diameters: 18 inches in front and 19 inches in the rear. The design balances the substantial rear-fender line and also improves cornering performance.

In contrast to the silver-toned body color, the interior is unified in vivid red. Owner Mr. Shimada says, ‘This is what you see and feel most while driving, so I care about it. Changing the seats and steering wheel makes driving more fun, doesn’t it?’ He chose the seats…

20.

As befits an open-body car, a woofer is installed behind the seats. But…with all that noise and wind, honestly, you can’t hear it! (laughs)

18.

The interior is unified in red; a tuned engine producing over 500 PS…

Interior

22.

The cockpit is entirely red: the steering wheel, shift knob, and handbrake lever, as well as the audio head unit and even the cigarette lighter—all red, red, red! The white instrument panel stands out against it and looks wonderfully racy.

24.

The engine is also a full RE Amemiya-tuned Seven, the setup every RX-7 owner dreams of.

27.

Fun to drive! RE Amemiya setup with 500 PS!!

26.

The rotary engine is fully tuned by RE Amemiya, who knows these engines inside out, and produces over 500 horsepower! The chassis supporting that monster power was also thoroughly reinforced by Amemiya; despite being open, it is far stiffer than stock. For the suspension, the owner trusts Scoot. ‘It’s great fun to drive!’

It has Recaro SP-G seats and a Victor steering wheel…

The interior was finished by RE Amemiya…

The blue NOS tank contrasts nicely with the red seats. ‘It was there before I knew it (laughs). What do you think, Aoyagi?’
