This shoot brought the two cars together for the first time. Their owners seemed to enjoy comparing them side by side: ‘They really are totally different!’

The real appeal of Lowrider Euro is bold bodywork. Smoothing, swaps, custom duct work… it makes a powerful visual statement.

16.

Full-on bodywork!

15.

Exterior-focused

18.

ZUN says, ‘Lowrider Euro is a style practiced by white Americans, so the bodywork has a different sensibility. At first, I thought I’d take every modification to the limit, but now I feel like I’ve nearly done it all.’

20.

A custom build should respect the base car. ZUN’s Accord has appeared in our magazine many times, and each time something has changed. With bodywork such as slits and ducts, a canvas top, and taillight swaps, it has become a catalog of exterior modifications.

21.

Even though canvas tops are becoming fairly standard, ZUN had planned this one long ago. The Accord has a distinctive look you can recognize at a glance. He says followers are starting to appear.

22.

…he says.

23.

Commit to a lifestyle. The music and clothing also reflect a West Coast influence.

Favorite CDs: let’s take a look!

The new technique here is the hood treatment. The trick is that it stays simple instead of becoming overworked.

26.

…that’s the idea.
