These days I just commute to and from work. My little Pao is worn out, so I’m thinking it’s time to retire it and bring out the Z3 Anniversary edition I’ve been keeping tucked away. But that’ll cost money, and my wife can’t stand this Z. I’m studying every day, trying to turn it into a sport compact while keeping as much of it original as possible. But the definition of ‘sport compact’ is hard to pin down. I have a family, so I can’t spend much… Is ‘doing it for my own satisfaction’ okay?

Are you okay?!

Talk it over…

29.

If you talk it over with her, I’m sure she’ll understand. Don’t let even the ultimate weapon—a cut in your allowance—get you down!

37.

That doesn’t matter! If you tell your wife how passionately you feel…

30.

I keep working hard, inspired by D-Car. It’s the only ‘textbook’ on sport compacts I can get at my local bookstore, so I check every issue. I also try out the techniques I learn from this ‘textbook’ when building model cars…

31.

…and use them in my model-building.

32.

Please keep featuring them! I’m looking forward to it!

33.

…so you can capture your ideal look!

34.

I’m doing this for my dream… I’m a high-school senior, and I’m hoping to take the entrance exam for an auto-mechanics program in another prefecture. But I’m sad about leaving my local friends behind. Z, please cheer me on!

35.

It’s sad, but you’ll be okay! Z is right here with you!

39.

Really!? Model cars…? Then use them to build the ideal image you have in mind!

40.

Take, do your best! Z is cheering you on like crazy! Being away from your friends is really…

My wheel!

50.

The other night, I was driving and nearly hit a cat. I managed to avoid it and breathed a sigh of relief, but then I ran over a dead cat. My luck is terrible. Sorry, kitty. But honestly, I was worried whether my wheel had bent.

52.

Do you ever see a blurry cat in your rearview mirror?

53.

I’m in the hospital right now, so I can’t drive my beloved Impreza. I’ll work hard to get discharged soon! Girlfriend, then Impreza! (Toshihiro Kondo, Nagano Prefecture)

51.

Oh dear… So you did run over it after all. My condolences. Was the wheel okay?

54.

You put the car before your girlfriend, huh? You’re like our handsome editor O.G. UBOZ (the M-type). Get well soon!
