Fits naturally—but it is a difficult swap! Unless someone tells you the face has changed, you might walk right past this EK-front Del Sol because the work looks so natural. This was a very challenging swap. Built by VIP Cars Del Sol in Osaka, the Del Sol shares no front-end parts with the EK. The bonnet, bumper, and fenders all had to be incorporated in a major reconstruction. The finished work is simply outstanding.
“Technically, there is almost nothing we cannot do if we decide to. What matters more is which headlights and taillights you choose and the image you want for the finished car. Why put an Integra face on this one, or a Windom face on a Civic? Because nobody else had done it. That is just my nature (laughs). Of course, it is also important to imagine that it will look cool!”

How the swap was done
The entire front end was reworked! It uses late-model EK headlights, bumper, and modified bonnet, with EK fenders spliced in partway along.
The core support is from an EK. The inner-frame fitment is completely different, which made the job difficult…
…as well.
The nose is extended slightly forward. Swap VIP Cars, Tel: 072-240-8111.
This Del Sol’s silver body gives it a subdued look. It belongs to Pri-chan, the X-5 model.
