A mysterious group that had uploaded cool street-scene videos to YouTube under the name “TSJ All Stars” and attracted a lot of views began gradually revealing who they were (including Black Mark and D Station in last month’s issue), and finally held an event of their own. Their concept was to bring old and new friends together to enjoy the street scene, and the turnout was an impressive lineup!
There were many first-time Nikko attendees! When we first heard that D Festa was being held, the idea was to center it on the crew who used to tear around the wharves near Tokyo, make it a reunion, and give the younger guys some inspiration. As the event got closer, the concept shifted to: “Forget old or new, famous or unknown—let’s all have fun together if we understand what TSJ is about.” Maybe the focus became a little fuzzy, but it brought out young drivers aiming for an upset, too. Nikko Circuit was incredibly lively that day. What a nostalgic time.

The drift-event judges were Kuroguchi and Yamashita. A 44-year-old duo… is it okay to write that? What a great photo of the two!
What a nostalgic crew! We are not going to lose to the young guys just yet!

What an impressive scene! At front right is Kasahara, leader of the Kasapi group. There were rumors he had returned, but he was only there as a spectator that day.

You cannot talk about the heyday of the Kanagawa wharves without remembering Yamaji of Summit Racing. He is not entered to drive—has this become his usual lecture time?!
