In the golden age of old-school street drifting, there were spots, there were teams, and there were young guys hanging around them—where legends were born. People made their names through driving, their style, and building cars. These days, more and more people are judged by their contest results. Is there no point in forming a team anymore? More drivers are heading out with a shop’s name on their cars. Is that really the way things should be? Watching the people we met at Nikko Circuit that day brought back old memories and got me thinking. Maybe Drift Tengoku has gotten older, too.
