From a JZX100 Chaser to a seventies classic, still a four-door! Corolla [KE70], Manabu Mitsumori. A few years ago, ‘Spirant’ Mitsumori was active in a red-metallic JZX100 Chaser and known as the ‘master of Nikko.’ In recent years he has become fascinated with classic cars. It looks like a textbook build, but everything seems carefully planned. The cut front suspension is excellent. The engine is a 4A-G with injection and individual throttle bodies. Both front and rear wheels have deep lips!
A modern four-door that looks right at the docks! Mark II [JZX110], Daichi Nonaka, S-Pro. Many JZX100s entered, but this was the only JZX110. The car had an Iwate plate. Lately I often see cars with ‘S-Pro’ stickers—what group are they? It has the classic Vertex aero and Ganador mirrors. The widened front and rear fenders give it a modern street-sedan look!

A manual five-speed and five-hole Longchamps—properly masculine! Cima [Y32], Atsushi Uchida
Choco Drifters (as read)
It really is a manual. The sound is V-shaped, so did it get a VG30DET swap from a Y32? It had an air-conditioning condenser, but with a fan-only setup… The rear tires look very tall—could they be 15-inch? Ah, Longchamps…
…five-hole wheels

This is what racing VIP means! Crown [JZS171], Shinya Ueno, Saikyo…
It looks understated, but the front bumper seems to have an aftermarket lip filled and reshaped with putty. The fenders and wheels sit perfectly flush. Once finished, it could do very well at a show, though members of Saikyo… probably are not interested in that sort of thing. On the street…
…we want it to be trusted!
…that’s the look!
