Pan Speed's FC is built for top-speed runs. To draw out the rotary engine's strengths, it uses twin IHI RX-5 turbos, two 550 cc and two 780 cc injectors, HKS additional injectors, and a Bosch fuel pump controlled by an original ECU. Cabin dust is a problem, but the twin turbos offer excellent response. With more body rigidity, it could progress even further.

The Border FC, shown at the 1997 Auto Salon, was built as a quarter-mile car intended to set a record. Its look and performance are both highly original. It aims for 11-second passes on street radial tires, making it feel attainable...

Its original aero is a major selling point: a flat-profile hood and slightly raised pop-up headlights create a beautifully balanced look.

24.

The key to tuning the 13B is increasing torque. Rotary engines are naturally weaker in torque than piston engines, so improving it through tuning takes know-how. The TN2S turbo produces 550 PS at a high 1.48 kg/cm² boost; this FD can hold its own against modern cars.

20.

At up to 1.4 kg/cm² of boost, the turbo produces 550 PS. The setup includes a TN2S Sard wastegate, an original three-row radiator, a Trust oil cooler, a high-clearance setup, and an original ECU.

FC3C Convertible

33.

The aero is original, including the front bumper spoiler, side steps, and rear spoiler. The convertible does have a lot of wind buffeting in the cabin.

32.

The FC came not only as a coupe but also as a convertible for open-air driving. Did you know? This car takes on top-speed runs and 300 km/h...

34.

Taking on top speed in a convertible, whose body can lack rigidity—that's cool. The chassis has also received extensive reinforcement.

35.

Estimated output is 500 PS at 5,000 rpm. The side ports are polished and enlarged; twin X-05 turbos run at 1.2 kg/cm². Other equipment includes an original three-row radiator and a Blitz four-row intercooler.

...in development.

39.

The cockpit has Recaro seats, original white-faced meters, and Racco gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, water temperature, and boost.

38.

Compared with a single large turbo, the twin RX-5 setup has better response and makes fuller use of the rotary engine's advantages.
