The Laurel-front-end swap was intended to get a reaction…
…but matching the body lines remains a task?!
A31
Cefiro
Senoue’s A31 “Lofiro”?! .
Senoue’s Cefiro is a wildly unconventional machine, with a Laurel front end. The parts were sourced from a dismantler for a bargain (about ¥20,000). For drift use, the suspension combines 10 kg springs in front and 8 kg in the rear. Urethane was injected into the side sills, so the body is very rigid. .
Drift has produced many outrageous machines, but the Cefiro with a Laurel face still looks a little strange. The door lines do not match, and it has not been painted. It is not finished yet, but the impact is huge! The plan is to add body filler and straighten the lines…
The Laurel fender and Cefiro door have different stamped body lines. Professionals handle this by combining two fenders, but Senoue plans to correct the mismatch by smoothing the surface.
The muffler was made using a borrowed welder. It has a 100 mm main pipe and a cannon-style outlet. It was initially a full straight-through design, but excessive flow weakened low-speed torque, so a catalytic converter was added to improve torque.
…and see it again at that point. Incidentally, the required parts… [continues].
…then match the paint color.

The turbo, ECU, and transmission are reused from an HCR32. They sharpen high-rpm response, so this is worth considering if you want more power without spending much.
The parts were sourced from a dismantler. After three months of searching, the total budget was apparently just ¥20,000. Only one bolt hole failed to line up; the rest bolted on. The wiring was plug-and-play too…
…a win.
The engine uses the stock HCR32 turbo and ECU, which provide a modest power increase—still worth taking seriously. Reused parts shine here too. If a friend can give you the parts for free, it is well worth trying. The suspension uses Tein coilovers; the differential is a Cusco mechanical unit; and the clutch and flywheel have been tuned by Nismo.
