The owner bought the body and transplanted the engine from his previous 22-year-old car. This 1979 S130Z is unusually built for drifting. The carried-over engine is based on an L28 with an LD crank and 99.5 mm pistons, making what is called an L28-based 3.1-liter build. With triple 44 mm carburetors it produces just over 200 PS. Compared with modern cars it has abundant torque and is plenty powerful; it is also durable, reportedly needing almost no maintenance for about two years. The exterior uses Kaminari aero and an ABR spoiler, a classic combination that feels nostalgic to some and still looks cool to younger fans. Since standing out matters in drifting, it may be just the right car!

The suspension uses AE92 racing shocks at the front and R32 Skyline Type M brakes. The rear has Kameari Works original shocks, with 2+2 stabilizer bars fitted front and rear.
The steering column has a tachometer. It is standard practice to fit auxiliary gauges in the center section of the triple-gauge panel.
