This ‘chopped-roof’ car was built to raise its performance. The engine has a turbo swap and 264-degree cams. The remarkable part is the suspension: drawing on racing experience, the builder created a pushrod rear suspension and an adjustable stabilizer that can be tuned from inside the cabin. The pushrod system lets the damper respond more precisely to tire movement, while the adjustable stabilizer can be set either for traction or to make the rear easier to slide. It is fun to drive, fun to look at, and fun to hear about—a truly inventive tuned car.

This PS13 is a car that TBO president Kikuchi enjoys driving in grassroots races. Whether driven for grip or drift, it is not merely fast; it has been built to be fun. The original suspension was set up at Nikko Circuit to control roll while maintaining grip. Wide fenders allow 245 tires at the front and 255s at the rear. The main work is weight reduction and increased rigidity. With total tuning costs of about 2.5 million yen, it is not an unattainable machine.

The engine has been swapped for an S14 SR20DET. It uses original forged pistons and Tomei 1N64-degree intake/EX66-degree exhaust cams, with a G2835 turbo. At 1.3 kg/cm² of boost it produces around 300 hp, using a setup focused on low- and midrange response.
