Durability is emphasized on this 180SX, which was built for drag racing as well as street use. The SR head, which uses hydraulic lash adjusters and is vulnerable to extreme over-revving, has been strengthened with valve shims and thorough lubrication. The heavily stressed transmission has also been replaced by the stronger unit from an R32 Type M to prevent major failures. If you plan to enjoy repeated quarter-mile runs, strengthen the weak points and protect durability.
