She loves the AE86's shape and wanted to try drifting, so she switched to an AE86. The engine uses TRD high-compression pistons and HKS 256°/256° high-lift cams; a 0.5 mm head gasket raises the compression ratio. It is a straightforward naturally aspirated tuning setup. Up front are coilovers she assembled herself, while the rear uses TRD short shocks and springs—an equally well-balanced combination. And no wonder: this is her third Hachiroku. It's a clean car, so take good care of it!

15.

That's right—this Hachiroku is turbocharged, and it is built for the quarter-mile, so it makes serious power. It produces a huge 400 PS and spins the tires constantly! Maybe it is the perfect machine for mastering throttle control. It's beautiful to see an AE86 take on the quarter-mile. It looks capable of going head-to-head with 2-liter turbo cars, so keep on making the rivals nervous!

My way of loving the Hachiroku!

She previously owned a car with a 4A-GZE swap, but she prefers the sound and feel of a naturally aspirated engine, so this one has a naturally aspirated mechanical tune…

The owner seems to have put a lot of effort into the audio system. It has a roll bar, and some interior panels have been removed to save weight.

1.5 kg/cm² boost! 400 PS! Quarter-mile: 12.53 seconds!

12.

The turbo is a TRS unit, intended to run at as much as 1.5 bar of boost. You can imagine how thoroughly the base engine must have been prepared.

13.

This thing has incredible power!

The pistons are borrowed from a 4A-GZE. This is one of the measures taken to withstand boost. High-lift cams are also fitted, chosen to match the turbo's torque curve.
