Amemiya's basic formula is fast, cool, and popular—that is what produced the Greddy.
RE Amemiya rotary world
A driveshaft has finally appeared at the front of the FC. This unprecedented combination pairs a rotary engine with four-wheel drive. The battery is mounted at the rear of the chassis.
A pipe frame is joined to the FC! A serious attempt to beat the GT-R from 0 to 300 km/h
GReddyvI
A cockpit designed for the quarter-mile or 0–300 km/h runs. Its jet-aircraft-inspired design makes you picture the battle ahead!
Three-rotor, four-wheel drive
When RE Amemiya turns a dream for the FC into reality, the result is world-class. The Greddy VII, unveiled at the 1997 Tokyo Auto Salon, cut the FC's monocoque and joined it to a pipe frame, combining the advantages of both structures for improved chassis performance. Its powerplant is a three-rotor 13B…

In every era, RE Amemiya has continued to give the FC new dreams and more performance. It joins a pipe frame to the monocoque to greatly improve chassis strength, then uses a Wiseman four-wheel-drive system to challenge the GT-R.

GReddy
A fully road-legal JSS machine is born! The aero kit became a bestseller.

The three-rotor engine is paired with a T88-33B turbocharger to produce 500 PS. MoTeC engine management provides stable control.
RE Amemiya's first FC tuning car: recorded a top speed of 315.1 km/h!
After the second-generation RX-7 debuted, Amemiya immediately bought a new car and built its first top-speed challenger: the Fortes RX-7 SA2. Instead of the twin turbos used on the earlier SA, it adopted a large Mitsubishi turbo…
In June 1987, it reached 315.1 km/h on the Yatabe high-speed circuit, with Dai at the wheel. After the SA was replaced by the FC, this was Amemiya's first top-speed build.
This aero setup was widely copied in Japan. It used twin TD05 turbos, stainless-steel exhaust manifolds, a TVVC Mini, Rebic II, a three-layer intercooler and radiator, Trust wastegates, and an 80-to-60 mm stainless exhaust. It was built primarily for Wangan high-speed runs.

…it was mated to an engine-family transmission. The team repeatedly experimented with body aero, water- and oil-temperature control, and suspension setup until the car became a complete top-speed machine.
Greddy is the traditional series name for Trust's turbo-tuning parts. Its first entry was this Greddy…

It was created by linking two projects: building a fully road-legal tuned car, and adapting the bodywork of the JSS race cars that were about to compete at the time for public-road use. The aero kit became explosively popular, as everyone knows. The Greddy series then continued to evolve through versions II, III, IV, and beyond.
