The best feature is the A’PEX lowering spring kit. On rough roads the 45-profile tires and stiff suspension make the ride harsh, which is the one drawback. Since there are few aftermarket parts, I enjoy adapting factory parts myself.

With his advice, I’ve got it to this point. It looks pretty good, right? I’m getting married soon, so I can’t spend much more, but I’d like to install a NISMO LSD as my last upgrade.

My pride is that hardly anyone modifies a Carina! That makes it quite eye-catching. Inside are a Fujitsubo muffler, A’PEXi Super Intake, and HKS Super Header. I’ve done the basic naturally aspirated upgrades, but the car is heavy and still feels short on power. Maybe a bolt-on turbo is next!?

The front has a TBO Type I spoiler and Impul grille; Trust side and rear under-spoilers; I removed the rear spoiler. Cool, right!? Aomori gets a lot of snow, and because the car sits low, I use it to clear snow every day… but the front bumper has suffered!

This car is set up for “commuting over Hakone Pass”!!
It’s quite a quiet car, but I’m very satisfied with the naturally aspirated character using an A’PEXi Super Intake and HKS Super Dragger. My favorite details are the purple heat-colored headers and gold calipers!! Next I’m aiming for an LSD and flywheel!
