Reliability also looks promising. In actual use, the pedal is so light that you might wonder whether this is really a strengthened drivetrain clutch. Honestly, the pedal effort feels about the same as stock. Engagement is mild, without a harsh grab. If you got in without being told, you might not even know the clutch had been replaced. Even quick shifts…
What's great is that during circuit driving, shifts up and down feel direct, with no loss in disengagement or engagement. We didn't test it this time, but it should also handle the power during a high-rpm launch. The engagement range remains generous, which should make it useful for quarter-mile runs. Twin-plate clutches are often thought to be tiring in town, especially in traffic, but this one avoids that worry. The trend is toward driving tuned cars with ease and composure.
Buying a car and then dressing it up is great, but the Chaser is also available new with a striking full aero package from the start. This special model includes a TRD aero bumper, radiator grille, side skirts, angle-adjustable large rear spoiler, and rear under-spoiler. The test car is a TRD demo based on this model. The suspension and engine are stock, but this aero package is rare and the parts cannot be purchased individually.

Reliably transmits high power…
The pedal is so light you might wonder whether the clutch is stock. Lately, parts from manufacturers with a direct motorsports background seem especially exciting. Coilover suspension is now standard tuning, and there are also engine parts and aero components…
Even on the circuit…
A stock clutch may slip when driven hard, even with light tuning such as a modest boost increase. This clutch removes that worry.

Racing Dovolopment
This is a genuinely serious effort. The new TRD clutch tested here is similar: single-plate versions were already available, and now a twin-plate version for hard tuning is in development. It is expected around June for dealer sales and installation, with careful attention to precision and reliability…
