About this issue
The August 1999 issue of Young Version explores drift setups versus grip tuning through 22 shop demo cars, including S15 Silvias from Mine’s and Kazama Auto. Features cover front-wheel-drive builds taking on high-powered 4WD rivals, choosing a first drift car, and reviving a used AE86 Trueno on a ¥1 million total budget. Suspension fundamentals, engine-oil selection, rotary maintenance, new-parts tests, and reports from Hiroshima and California round out this look at Japan’s late-1990s tuning scene.
242 available scans from Young Version — August 1999, in right-to-left reading order. Japanese OCR and English translation drafts are available throughout. Drafts have not received exhaustive image proofreading; unreadable source remains recorded in the archival data.

but now I only occasionally go to the circuit. Each time, I refine the suspension settings. It uses Cusco Comp-2 suspension, with rear upper links, toe-control links, and . The AX turbo I installed myself gives around 300 ps. Currently I'm in the 1-minute-9-second range at Tsukuba, but I want to develop it further to reach the 1-minute-7-second range.

He likes the angled B Racing exhaust; its position is quite close to the standard FD arrangement.

RC-TIIR: a favorite!
I've owned this Levin for two years. Driving in pursuit of speed is simply
fun! In the end I lose to turbo cars, though. My driving is strictly grip. The standard car understeers strongly, so I used to run TRD coilovers. Now it only has anti-roll bars, but I'd like a diff too. My favorite part is the JC Bullet exhaust. Since today was a circuit day I removed its silencer, and it was much louder than I expected!
I bought this one on impulse! I'll keep pursuing grip driving.
The JC Bullet exhaust was louder than expected with its silencer removed. The tailpipe is 90 mm.
His favorite Enkei wheels are fitted front and rear in 16-inch sizes .
