We asked Mr. Suzuki, who organized this meet with NIGHT ACTOR, about the event: “There are fewer and fewer places where people can drive on the street. With accidents and police enforcement becoming stricter, beginners who want to learn drifting have nowhere to practice. And even if they join a track day, it can be hard to relax among the more skilled drivers. So we thought we’d rent a circuit with friends who get along and hold a welcoming meet where beginners could join in, too…”

41.

…and enjoy themselves.” We also asked how he felt after organizing his first track day: “I thought we’d be doing well if 30 cars showed up, but it wasn’t just our own group—people from all over joined us, and 55 street racers came. As they left, they told us, ‘Invite us again next time.’ That made me really happy. Of course, we’re already thinking about the next meet.” Now that circuits feel more accessible than ever, friendly track days like this are sure to become more common. The next one is bound to be just as lively.

That tense moment before the start… But they weren’t nervous at all—they were a cheerful bunch… If it had been me, I’d have been stiff as a board…
