Doesn’t it feel like it keeps getting hotter every year? There seem to be more hot days this year than last—what’s going on? A five-degree difference makes the water temperature rise faster and puts more strain on cooling. Someone once said cooling upgrades are never finished, and that is so true. Still, I’m glad the higher temperatures let us drive harder. I just wish it would cool down soon!

Hello! It’s hot, isn’t it? Five-degree temperature swings every day—what is going on? I respect everyone who still goes to track days in this weather. Please take care of yourselves and your cars. As for me, I stop drifting in summer because I can’t stand the heat. I’m fine with cool-weather activities like going to the beach or the mountains, but not activities that make me even hotter. My friends scold me for lacking spirit, but drifting isn’t everything; other summer activities matter too! I enjoyed last month’s clothing feature. Everyone has clever ideas, from quick-dry shirts to arm covers. Seeing that makes me want to get fully equipped and go to a track day. I want to find ways to stay comfortable all day (the sanitary-pad tip made me laugh, though I won’t copy it). I wonder how D1 drivers manage: they wear racing suits and sit in stripped-out cars that must be unbearably hot. It seems impossible to concentrate while waiting. I really respect them; I’d be sure to drop out from heatstroke. This letter wandered a bit, but reporting seems just as hot as driving, so take care and keep making the magazine! —A timid drifter

Selected contributors receive a special sticker! We cut it from sticker material, carefully weed away the excess by hand, then apply transfer tape to finish it. Making two stickers for one person takes about an hour, so at a part-time wage of ¥850… it may be a surprisingly expensive sticker! Sometimes shipping is delayed because we have no stock or a part-timer has left—sorry about that! Also, many people forget to include their address with their submission and later ask why the sticker has not arrived, so please include your address in your request email just in case.
