Hello, YV. I’m a fifth-grade student who loves cars. One evening last November, I was walking home from a friend’s house and thought, “Maybe I’ll see a cool car if I go to the national highway.” I went that way—and there it was, the gradient-painted MR2 that had appeared in “My Tuning Power”! I was so happy I could have cried. This is my first letter.
I got my Asti ZR. It’s true that there aren’t many parts for it, but unlike my parents’ Minica, it has a manual transmission and MIVEC—and, best of all, it’s my own car. At first I thought, “I don’t have money, so I’ll settle for an Asti,” but seeing the actual car made me grow incredibly attached to it. I want to tune it while improving my own skills and build it to keep up with Civics and Levins. (Kanzaki District, Hyogo Prefecture; “My partner is an Asti”) Matsugon: Send us a photo for “My Tuning Power” when you tune it. First, tune it with a YV sticker!
We welcome useful tuning tips you’ve learned firsthand! Photos make submissions even better. Everyone whose work is published will receive a YV sticker. Send entries to Red Zone, YV Editorial Department, 4F Uchikanda Shibuya Building, 2-16-11 Uchikanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 101-8524. This column only works when everyone participates, so send in your entries!

I was happy to get your reply to my February letter.
Hello, Matsugon. This is QUM. Thank you so much for replying to my “MA-chan” letter in the February issue.
…is.
I thought you might say, “What is this person talking about?” but instead I got an encouraging letter, and I’m truly grateful. We should live doing what we love. My boyfriend is broke because he spends on romance and tuning, but he looks so happy when talking about cars. I’ll keep doing my best, too. I’m going to get an EG6…
(Continuation) A Civic after all! Sorry this turned Red Zone into a pen-pal column, but YV readers are such nice people. The editorial staff are great, too. We’re going to Suzuka in March to watch the GT Championship—finally, the season is starting! P.S. I wrote that I wanted a small YV sticker for my lighter or something…
Matsugon: Red Zone is a place for everyone to exchange messages, so keep sending replies and letters!
